VZ Navigator


VZ Navigator is a GPS-enabled application that transforms your Verizon Wireless phone into a powerful navigation device. With VZ Navigator, you get visual and audible directions to a destination, you can locate businesses and other places in an area, get a map of a location, bookmark favorites and recent searches, and even share locations with others.

Getting Started
Download VZ Navigator on your phone, and subscribe for a monthly rate of $9.99 or use it when needed for $2.99 a day. (Per Day option not available on BlackBerry devices) VZ Navigator is pre-installed on some Verizon Wireless phones, and some have a shortcut to the application from the phone's main menu called 'Navigation'.

VZ Navigator provides you with several feature options from its main menu:
  • Navigation provides turn-by-turn directions with spoken prompts when you are approaching a turn
  • Local Search lets you search for local businesses and attractions such as restaurants, gas stations and ATMs, by name or category
  • My Places provides quick access to locations you have saved or recent location searches you have performed
  • Maps lets you view maps of selected locations with several display options

Activate service on any Verizon Wireless Nationwide or Broadband Access Calling Plan, and Test Drive our network for up to 30 days.
If you're not convinced that Verizon Wireless has the best wireless network, you can port your number to another wireless carrier at anytime during those 30 days and the calls you made will be on us.
Please note that in order to take your number to another carrier, you must continue your service until your number is switched, so do not cancel your Verizon Wireless service before your number is active with a new service provider.

These are the charges that are, or are not, eligible for credit if you port your number to another wireless carrier within 30 days of activation:

  • Per-Minute charges after exceeding Anytime Minute Allowance on voice plans2
  • Federal Universal Service Fund surcharge

If you port your number to another wireless carrier within 30 days of activation, it may take up to 60 days for all Test Drive credits to appear on your account. Any credit balance will be refunded to you within 4–6 weeks.

3Please note that if you purchase a handset at a discount from Verizon Wireless, your Early Termination Fee will be credited only if you return the handset within the 30-day Test Drive period. If you purchase a handset from a Verizon Wireless or one of its Authorized Agents or Retailers, you must call Verizon Wireless at 1.800.922.0204 to request that your Early Termination Fee be waived.

4Data charges include: Text, Picture & Video Messaging, including any Messaging Bundles; all Get It Now® applications (Ringtones, Wallpaper, Games, Mobile Web); V CAST Video, Music, and Mobile TV, including any daily or monthly access charges; VZ Navigator; VZEmail®, and VZAccess® plans.

5Supplemental services include charges such as Roadside Assistance, Wireless Phone Protection, Extended Warranty, and Detailed Billing.

6Separately billed long distance charges include international long distance charges, if any.
